WALK ON WATER

My husband and I were hosting a Labor Day party. I was sitting outside with several people and one of the women said to me, you know who you should be like? Be like George Takei.

At the time I posted a lot on Facebook and prior to this statement she had let me know in so many words that she did not like the things I had been posting.

This was about 11 years ago and the comment stung. I thought, she does not like who I am. Current day I see how preposterous the comment was.

Every single person IS a unique energy signature, a blueprint if you will. To express this beautiful energy - to BE WHO YOU ARE - is sacred. It is my divine birthright. It is your divine birthright. To try and be like someone else is not only futile it is harmful because it is an override of our natural operating system.

And yet. Not only do we override who we are, we say: Be someone else.

Before I jumped on the computer to write this I saw a Mark Twain quote: The poison was never forced - it was offered gently, until you forgot it was poison at all.

The poison in this situation is conditioning. Conditioning is all of the beliefs, ideas and expectations of who and what we think we and others should be, do, behave, express and live. This conditioning is a blanket that covers our True Expression.

Imagine you are at the bottom of a lake. It’s murky, with little clarity. The murkiness represents the conditioning of life - the ideas and mental constructs that cloud our true nature, our pure and undiluted expression.

Now imagine you are making your way upward from the lake’s bottom.

Moving our way upward represents the living of our life. As we live the mental constructs and conditioning, we become aware of them. As we become aware of them, facing and acknowledging them with our presence, something miraculous begins to happen… the fortress of our constructs and conditioning begins to dismantle and dissipate.

That miracle is NOT OUTSIDE of you. It is YOU. The facing is the LIGHT OF YOUR PRESENCE.

Now imagine you are finally to the top of the lake. Boom! Your head has popped through the surface and it’s all LIGHT, baby!

Remember … In the moments when you are back at the bottom of the lake, it may seem like the darkness has all the power.

Know THIS: You, my friend, ARE the power. Your PRESENCE is your light is your power. ALL YOU.

You and I and all were born AS THIS miracle. We are born to walk on water. Let’s get to it.
