THIS IS me, ELLEN ROBINSON ART - ERA.
I did not pick up a paint brush before 2007. That idea did not live in the realm of what was possible for me.
I wasn’t ready until I was ready. And by ready I don’t mean to paint. I mean to LIVE. Until that time, I had not been truly living. In the words of someone I don’t know but I saw their quote recently, I was living like I was waiting to die.
That all changed. The act of painting was the opening for me. Not the opening to art or being an artist necessarily, but the opening to my Essence. The opening to experiencing the connection for which I had always longed. My Soul said, Hello, it’s been awhile. And the rest has been a long journey home to my Self/Soul/Essence.
Living responsibly does not mean living from some list of what’s acceptable and what’s not. Living responsibly for me is, did I trust my heart today and BE accordingly? Did I LISTEN to what my intuition, body and soul were telling me and live that out?
